Earth and Sky
I’m so delighted to invite you to my first retreat. Come gather in community for extended in-depth yoga practices, flow, playtime, meditation and rest, all in the beautiful Suffolk countryside, near the coast, and not far from where I grew up. This land is my home, and our time together will be a homecoming, as well as a moment to transition with intention from late summer to early Autumn.
In rural Suffolk the skies are vast, we can ease into the pace of nature, witness the sun rise and set, or gaze at the starry sky, connect to our own inner rhythms and cycles, disconnect from the urban rush and be in the flow of life.
This will be a deep dive into the practices of yoga, movement, play, breath and stillness. We will have more time to explore deeper and marinate in the teachings than we do in regular classes, and we will be in a quieter setting for the gentle transformational qualities of the practices to unfurl. We will share four beautiful extended yoga practices together, from strong flows to deep rest, in the purpose built studio, with a view out across open fields. We will also weave in meditations, elements of mantra, mudra, pranayama and tantric yoga philosophy. Above all, being in nature allows us to be in sacred ritual with the rhythms of the earth.
Our retreat will be bespoke with a maximum of ten participants. As well as our yoga practices, we will get outside and re-wild our spirits on this gorgeous land. We will have use of a sauna and cold plunge pool, we will take at least one long(ish) walk around this beautiful area that I know and love, and there will be opportunities to go wild swimming. We will share two nourishing vegetarian and/or vegan meals each day and plenty of snacks and healthy treats.
Our Venue
Toad Hall is a beautiful space for our retreat, where you can immerse in your yoga practice, reconnect with nature and explore the Suffolk countryside. The accommodation is in luxury timber lodges, which are warm, comfortable and beautifully decorated, nestled in nature. Toad Hall Lodges are near to the picturesque coastal town of Southwold (worth an extra few days if you have time) and the nature reserve beaches of Covehithe and Dunwich. It's only two hours from London by car, or a short taxi ride from Halesworth or Beccles train stations.
