Join us for a yoga and nature retreat in Chapada Diamantina, in the heart of Bahia, Brazil. Located in what is considered one of the most captivating areas of natural beauty in the country, our retreat centre is nestled at the foot of table top mountains, surrounded by mineral rich rivers, healing waterfalls, green plains and tropical vegetation. It is a place that brings you back to source, and reminds us of our interconnection with our heart, with each other, and with nature.
We will share morning and evening extended yoga practices, with one day off for a full day hike with a local guide. During the other days we will have some shorter hikes, visits to stunning waterfalls, rivers and time in nature. We will also immerse in local culture and spirituality, including a capoeira Angola workshop for beginners.
Our home for the week is at the edge of Vale do Capão, an alternative community in this valley, that attracts nature lovers, spiritual seekers and artists. Our yoga practices will take place in a glass-walled shala, with a backdrop of the mountains and surrounded by tropical vegetation. Delicious mostly vegan, vegetarian and African-Brazilian food, will be provided at the retreat centre, and when we are away for lunch (the main meal of the day in Brazil), we will take a substantial packed lunch. There will be one meal out together in the village.
