When you practice with me you can expect a strong and sweaty, yet generally slow and breath-led flow. I find this an effective way to experience deeper intimacy with the self, as well as to build strength and flexibility with awareness and control. I take inspiration from yogic philosophy (particularly Tantra), and the rhythms of the natural world, as well as all my teachers and my own daily sadhana.
The practice is a journey back to source. An invitation to drink the nectar of movement infused with breath and awareness. Classes are primarily asana (posture) based, and I often weave in meditation, pranayama (breath-work), mudras (energy seals), mantra (sound vibration) and kriyas (purification practices). I offer hands-on assists, but feel free to let me know if you prefer not to have them. There will be opportunities to get playful, as well as to take deep rest.
